Frezza verso il Nurburgring

La seconda prova dell'International GT Open 2010 porterà Marco Frezza su uno dei circuiti più leggendari e ricchi di storia del panorama europeo: il Nurburgring. Oltre ad ospitare il Gran Premio di Formula 1, il tracciato tedesco rappresenta una delle piste più importanti anche per le corse GT, anche se per il GT Open quella di quest'anno sarà la prima visita su questo circuito. Anche per il pilota milanese, dunque, come per molti altri avversari in questa categoria, quella di questo weekend sarà una prima assoluta con queste vetture sul circuito del Nurburgring. Frezza ha un solo precedente al suo attivo su questa pista, quando vi corse in monoposto ai tempi della Formula Renault 2.0. "Ovviamente il contesto sarà completamente diverso," spiega. "Avendoci corso solo con le ruote coperte, dovrò in pratica imparare nuovamente la pista. Ma i risultati ottenuti nella prima prova di campionato a Valencia non possono che lasciarmi ottimista per il ritorno in pista." Forte di un secondo posto nella prima prova stagionale, Marco Frezza si trova infatti al quinto posto assoluto in classifica e al secondo di classe GTS. Anche in questo appuntamento sarà al via con la Ferrari 430 GT2 del team Kessel Racing, affiancato dal portoghese Pedro Couceiro. Le due gare del weekend del Nurburgring sono in programma sabato alle ore 14:00 (70 minuti) e domenica alle 13:10 (50 minuti), con diretta TV sul canale Nuvolari (SKY 218).

English version Frezza towards Nurburgring The second race of International GT Open 2010 will bring Marco Frezza on one of the most legendary and historical tracks in Europe: Nurburgring. Together with hosting the Formula One Grand Prix, the German track is one of the most important ones also for the GT races, even if for GT Open it's the first time on this circuit. So, for the Italian driver, as for many other rivals in this category, this weekend will mark the first time ever with GT cars on the Nurburgring track. Frezza only raced here in single seaters with Formula Renault 2.0. "Obviously it will be completely different," he explains. "Having raced there with the open wheels only, I will practically have to learn the track again. But the results obtained in the first race of the championship in Valencia can only make me confident for the track comeback." With a second place in the first race of the season, Marco Frezza is in fact fifth in the overall classification and second in GTS class. In this event, too, he will be racing with a Ferrari 430 GT2 of the Kessel Racing team, together with the Portuguese Pedro Couceiro. The two races of the Nurburgring weekend are scheduled on Saturday at 14:00 (70 minutes) and Sunday at 13:10 (50 minutes), with live TV coverage on Nuvolari channel (SKY 218).
